A Note From Chris…

"It has now been nearly twenty years—and hundreds of satisfied travelers—since our humble beginnings. Along the way, we have met many wonderful people and visited countless interesting places. We remain dedicated to helping those who want to explore the world beyond their own surroundings.

It is our hope that these travel experiences foster new friendships, create excitement, and bring fulfillment to each individual who chooses to join us. We hope you’ll come along and share in many exciting adventures. Fun is just around the corner!"

Where did we start?

Chris founded Compass Point in 2007. His involvement with the differently abled goes back many years to 1987 when he first volunteered at Don Guanella. Since that time, and nearly a lifetime of experiences later, Compass Point is offering opportunities for individuals to learn new skills, become more independent and reach their full potential.

Our Mission

We are dedicated to providing exceptional support services that promote healthy and safe peer relationships. Our goal is to empower individuals to access their communities, build and strengthen their skills, and create opportunities to live full, meaningful, and rewarding lives.

How We Differ

•  We Know You 

  • Each new traveler has an initial meeting with us and we review social and medical history to ensure that Compass Point can provide necessary support in the community. No name tags will be needed - We will know your name!

• Small Staffing Ratios

• Our staffing ratio is one staff to every four travelers for each trip. 

• Enhanced Support

• We provide an even smaller staffing ratio for travelers requiring extra assistance.

• As an option the traveler can bring along his or her own certified staff.

• Small Groups

• We travel with groups of no more than 25 for our day trips and no more than 12 for our six day vacations.

• There is no extra charge to travel in a small group.

• Excellent Staff

• Our staff is made up of professionals, many who teach and work in the IDD arena.

• All-Inclusive 

• Our trip fees include everything.

• Promote Choice

• We believe our services help increase independence.

• Transportation 

  • Enjoy safe, comfortable transportation to all our activities aboard coach buses.
